Official "Born of Blood" box revealed

In anticipation of the official release, leading Publisher Lighthouse Interactive today revealed the official "Sword of the Stars: Born of Blood" add-on boxshot featuring a vessel from the new "Zuul" race.

Forged in the fires of advanced biotechnology, The Zuul has emerged from the shadows to threaten the Sword of the Stars universe. Born of blood, driven by hunger and launched on a relentless search for the Gods that made them, these brutal warriors will stop at nothing to find "The Great Masters." As they tear the galaxy apart, a dark new chapter in the annals of interstellar conquest will begin. Bringing with it new strategies, new weapons, and a new view of "resources."

About Sword of the Stars: Born of Blood

Sword of the Stars, originally released in August 2006, is a breakthrough 4X Strategy game that has returned gamers to the action-packed roots of the 4X genre with some new twists, including a 3D starmap and real-time combat resolution in a 3D environment – all available in multiplayer as well.

In the official Add On "Born of Blood" fans will see an increase in diversity, tactical depth and replay-value of the original game. SotS:BoB will give players a variety of new weapons, technologies, ship sections, scenarios and menaces to further expand and extend their gameplay experience. SotS:BoB is an essential upgrade for anyone involved in the Sword of the Stars universe.

A spokesperson from Lighthouse has said the game will begin shipping across the UK and Nordic territories around June 2007.
