ACTIVISION LAUNCHES THE OFFICIAL STAR TREK® ELITE FORCE II WEB SITE
Santa Monica, CA - April 18, 2003 - Find out all the facts behind Activision's Star Trek® Elite Force II with the launch of the game's official web site at www.st-ef2.com. Leading up to the release of the game this June, Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) is giving fans a pre-release glimpse into this highly anticipated title with a briefing of missions, critical news updates, character profiles, detailed weapon descriptions, screenshots, downloadable content and much more.
The Star Trek Elite Force II web site will feature the following sections, among others:
The Game - This area of the web site will allow players to familiarize themselves with the backstory of the title, game features, mission environments and multiplayer options.
News - Fans can receive the latest updates and information about the game from the Star Trek Elite Force II news link.
Characters - Star Trek Elite Force II features a large variety of creatures and races, both friendly and enemy, throughout a diverse range of worlds and environments. In the Characters section, players can familiarize themselves with the different hazard team members, enemies, and the broad cast of characters that can be discovered throughout the game.
Weapons - Star Trek Elite Force II includes an arsenal of popular weapons from the original game, plus a variety of all-new additions. There are over 15 weapons with specs and history for each, including the Sniper Rifle, Radiation Disruptor, Advanced Grenade Launcher, and the deadly Klingon Bat'leth.
Set in the Star Trek: The Next Generation® universe, Star Trek Elite Force II allows players to break out of the confines of ship bulkheads and spacestation corridors to explore all new locations including alien worlds. As the leader of the elite Hazard Team, players can hack, blast, and vaporize their way into the heart of galactic evil with an impressive array of advanced weaponry. Battle through the ravaged hulk of a massive starship, protect an alien colony under siege, face the unknown on a treacherous volcanic planetoid, and assault a host of insidious alien strongholds. Over the course of the game, players will encounter a relentless onslaught of enemies including hordes of nightmarish creatures, several other never before seen alien species, and familiar staples such as the Borg and Romulans.
