Chaos League UK Website Launches – With Exclusive
Game Info
2 April 2004
Britsoft publisher Digital Jesters is preparing to unveil
further details about its latest signing 'Chaos League' – and those keenest to
hear more about this genre-busting title can now head over to the game's
official UK Website, which has just been launched at
www.chaosleaguegame.com.
Chaos League is a fantasy sports game in which teams of nine players compete in
a brutal field sport. Controlled using a real time strategy interface, the
object of the game is simple: put the ball in the opponent's end-zone. The rules
are equally simple: do it any way you can. And if that includes issuing commands
such as 'stamp', 'facial kick' or 'ball of fire'... well, so be it. Just as long
as you win.
The game's Website boasts a wealth of information, much of it exclusive. For
example, detailed information on the game's many races is only available at
www.chaosleaguegame.com - making it the essential destination for those
eager to brush up on their strategies. Various downloads will be premiered here,
from the usual wallpapers and screensavers, to extra mods and content with which
to supplement the full game.
As Digital Jesters has demonstrated with its previous titles, the company
doesn't adhere to the usual 'fire-and-forget' launch replicated by many other
publishers. Indeed, the Chaos League site is very much planned as a long-term
community, with stacks of new material hosted in the lead up to, and far beyond
release.
"Chaos League is a little bit different to most releases," says Leo Zullo,
Marketing Director, Digital Jesters, "so we're keen to ensure that the Website
reflects its individuality. It's our prime focus over the Summer months, so be
sure to keep an eye out for the first playable demo and latest news."
Chaos League will be available on PC CD-ROM in June 2004, price £29.99. Further
game details will be released soon.
