North American Gamers Will Be the First to Experience KOEI's New Sci-Fi Sequel with New Characters, New Modes of Play, and More

Burlingame, CA - March 30, 2004 - KOEI Corporation today announced that CRIMSON SEA(R)2 for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system is making its world debut, and is shipping to retail outlets throughout North America. The game will ship to Japanese retailers on April 15th, 2004

About Crimson Sea 2

Taking place two years after the events of the original Crimson Sea, CRIMSON SEA 2 sees the galaxy of Theophilus in a state of near-collapse. Still reeling from a massive surprise attack by the alien Menace, IAG Commander Live-D organizes a rag-tag team of mercenaries and survivors. Leading the assault on the alien Menace is Sho, a rare human-alien hybrid "Vipa" with the power of Neo-Psionics. Through Neo-Psionics, Sho can generate incredible blasts of energy that can destroy platoons of enemies in a single move.

Now, Sho discovers that he is not alone, and will have the help of another- Feanay, a lovely female "Vipa" with her own unique Neo-Psionic attacks. During the game, players can switch between Sho and Feanay, choosing the best character for each mission.

CRIMSON SEA 2 includes three new two-player modes. Players can work together to bring down an enemy and clear a stage in "Co-op" mode, battle head-to-head "death match" style in "Versus" mode, or try to outscore their human opponent in "Competition" mode.

With non-linear game progression, over 60 different missions, new weapons and fighting techniques, un-lockable characters, and new modes of play, CRIMSON SEA 2 is set to transport gamers into a fantastic world filled with tension and excitement.
