BETA footage Combat Mission: Shock Force
Combat Mission: Shock Force, the upcoming modern warfare simulation from Battlefront, is set to challenge the standard of computer wargames and military simulations. Players are now offered a chance to see the first early BETA in-game footage from the game. The footage depicts:
-
An M1A1HC (heavy common) Abrams tank moving off-roads. Watch the suspension system in action, self-shadowing, the randomized exterior equipment (individual for each unit in the game) and the advanced lighting effects such as sun glare off the various surfaces.
-
A troop of US soldiers firing their M4 carbines, showing the various firing animations from standing and kneeling position, and the reloading sequence.

Combat Mission: Shock Force will be releasing worldwide during Q2, 2007 and will be published by Paradox Interactive.
About Combat Mission: Shock Force A highly story-driven semi-dnamic Campaign played from the US perspective offers a completely new experience for strategy fans. Each battle includes a detailed Mission Briefing outlining specific objectives, which can range from taking a particular spot on the map to maintaining force cohesion. Better yet, the objectives for each side can be different, allowing each side to fight according to its own goals rather than a single set common to both. As players move forward throughout the game, their victories will affect the face of the world, as will their losses. Of course, players can also choose to play customized Quick Battles or do battle using scenarios created through the all-new Editor. Within the Editor are powerful tools allowing scenario designers to create intense, unique story-driven battles. http://www.battlefront.com/products/cmsf
