Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, announced that its hit title Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter™ released on Xbox 360™ on March 8 achieved record sales for its first week of launch.

  • In the North America, on top of record pre-order numbers at retail, the sell through amounted to over 240.000 units, making Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter Ubisoft’s fastest week 1 selling game ever on all platforms.
  • In Europe, sell through amounted to 120 000 units in just 3 days. The title was the fastest selling Xbox 360™ game ever in France, Germany and the United Kingdom positioning itself as the N°1 title in all these countries.
  • These results are particularly remarkable considering that the Xbox 360™ installed basis amounts to 1,660,000 units in both territories. It highlights the success of Ubisoft’s brand building strategy supported by early investments on new consoles and a constant attention to product quality.

“Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter™ has achieved the best first week that our company has ever experienced in its history and is set to become a major success. It is also showcasing our studios ability to use the added capacity offered by the next generation console to their best", stated Yves Guillemot, Chief Executive Officer of Ubisoft Entertainment.
