New Patches for ATF and Raging Tiger!

ProSIM's Modern Military Simulations Refitted For Battle!

Cary, NC, 17 March 2005

Just as in every life rain must fall, in every computer program some code needs tweaking.  ProSIM, the developers behind the most realistic real-time simulations of modern warfare available on your home PC (so realistic they're used by defense contractors and the

military itself), have been intently listening to the feedback gamers have reported on their most recent releases, Raging Tiger: The Second Korean War and ATF: Armored Task Force.  Armed with the knowledge of what pesky bugs still needed to be squashed

ProSIM strapped their helmets tight and got to work, with the end result being patches for both games are now available.

The first patch brings ATF up to version 1.05.  Highlights include:

*  Scenario flipping through the Scenario Builder is now possible.  Players will be able to "flip" the playable sides in a scenario, thus making the red forces fall under the player's command and the blue forces AI controlled (AI scripts will still have to be generated for the blue forces though).

*  Position Area Formation has been retooled to better recreate light infantry operations.

*  Path finding has been improved when dealing with units getting hung up on obstacle breaches.

*  Fixed a bug in artillery traverse times which could cause a CTD.

*  Sometimes saving and then reloading the game would reset the artillery ammo for the scenario, this has been fixed.

*  When using the 'add package' function a 'start time' order is added to the base nodes of the units and hierarchies.

*  Several other potential CTDs and a few typos have been fixed.

The second patch is for Raging Tiger: The Second Korean War and brings that game up to version 1.14.  It includes all the 1.05 upgrades for ATF (Raging Tiger uses ATF as its baseline engine) and also adds the following fixes specific to Raging Tiger:

*  The external configuration file has been enhanced.

*  There is a default database filename now.

*  Mounting units in the Scenario Builder caused a crash; fixed.  Also a bug caused mounted units to be excluded for victory condition purposes.  This is also now working correctly.

*  The Scenario Wizard chooses the correct default database for a new scenario.

*  After loading a saved game the 'Dismount Radius Rule' was working incorrectly, this has been corrected.

*  Units locked with "No Player Input" or "Fire Missions Only" no longer permit path planning or mission planning.
