Red Storm Entertainment Showcasing Rainbow Six Lockdown at Peak 10
Latest Edition of the Rainbow Six Franchise for the PlayStation®2 on Display at March IGDA Event
RALEIGH, N.C. (March 16, 2005) – Peak 10, the Southeast's leading data center and managed services provider, today announced it will host the next meeting of the North Carolina chapter of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA). The event will showcase the anticipated multiplayer PlayStation®2 console version of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Lockdown by Red Storm Entertainment. The IGDA meeting will be held March 23, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. at Peak 10's state-of-the-art data center located in Morrisville, N.C.
The Rainbow Six franchise is widely known as one of the best multiplayer games available to-date and Rainbow Six Lockdown is no exception to that reputation. The game has taken the best features and game elements from previous Rainbow Six games and combined them into one spectacular multiplayer experience. Rainbow Six Lockdown will include new features original to the Rainbow Six franchise such as allowing players to not only play as a ‘Team Rainbow' member, but giving them the option to play as a mercenary in all adversarial modes. Another innovative addition to the multiplayer experience is the use of dynamic maps. Players will have the ability to affect the map in real time with the use of machinery (like cranes) or automated doors. This will open or close paths and access routes to different locations on the map.
"We are excited that Red Storm Entertainment and IGDA have chosen Peak 10 to showcase Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Lockdown for the PlayStation 2," said Greg Rollet, vice president and general manager of Peak 10 Raleigh.
