Experience the Authentic Missions of Renowned Vietnam Vet Maj. John L. Plaster on PC March 25
MINNEAPOLIS, MN, March 15, 2005 – Bold Games, a unit of Destineer, today announced that its highly anticipated new PC title, Elite Warriors: Vietnam, has gone gold. The intensely realistic first-person shooter takes gamers through the authentic missions experienced by former Studies and Observations Group (SOG) member and best-selling author, Maj. John L. Plaster (USA-Ret). Elite Warriors: Vietnam is scheduled for release March 25 for a suggested retail price of $29.99.
“Elite Warriors: Vietnam is as authentic to the real war as you can get. This is the way we actually operated, and I worked hard with the developers to get it right,” said Plaster. “Enemy uniforms, terrain, weapons – everything in this game is so close to what we encountered during the war that it will send a chill down the spine.”
About Maj. John L. Plaster
Serving three full combat tours as a recon team leader during the Vietnam War, Maj. Plaster led small 6-8 man recon teams on covert missions along the Ho Chi Minh Trail in Laos. Maj. Plaster’s SOG recon company was the highest decorated unit of the Vietnam War with five Congressional Medal of Honor recipients- these men became legends in the Special Ops community. The same dangers and obstacles SOG had to overcome to earn a Presidential Unit Citation in 2001 are waiting gamers in Elite Warriors: Vietnam.
