Mega-Hit Tactical Action Game Sets Record as Fastest-Selling Title in KOEI History

Burlingame, CA – March 11, 2003 – KOEI Company Limited of Japan announced today that it has shipped one million units of Dynasty Warriors 4 in a period of only 9 days; a record for the company. Dynasty Warriors 4 is KOEI’ s second title to reach the one million-unit mark. The mega-hit Tactical Action game far outpaced the series’ previous installment by over 11 months. Dynasty Warriors 3 achieved the one million-unit mark over a 12-month period.

Dynasty Warriors 4, known as Shin Sangoku Musou 3 in Japan, was released on February 27, 2003 as the No.1 title across all video game consoles. In only four days of release, Dynasty Warriors 4 sold 723,127 units as reported by Weekly Famitsu magazine, the recognized authority and best-selling video game publication in Japan.
