New patch for Coliseum!

Latest patch corrects several bugs and adds new features!

Cary, NC, 01 March 2004

Coliseum, the fantasy gladiatorial managerial sim developed by Stormcloud Creations and published through Shrapnel Games, has just received a new patch. The patch brings the retail game up to version 1.6 and includes a number of new features, along with the usual patch-related bug fixing. The patch can be found at http://downloads.gamezone.com/demos/d10778.htm. It should be noted that the patch can only be applied to versions 1.5, so if you have not downloaded the previous patch you must first do so. The latest patch also unfortunately invalidates previous save games, so before applying make sure that you are finished with any current games.

Finally, the demo has been updated to reflect this latest patch.

Stormcloud Creations has been faithfully listening to its fanbase on the various forums and many of the patch improvements have been helped along by the fans. Stormcloud and Shrapnel would like to extend a hearty thank you to everyone who has been supportive of this unique title. May the blood on your steel never dry!

The full listing of fixes/enhancements/new features can be found in the patch's read me file, but here is a sampling to whet your appetite:

Fixes

* New music module that corrects all previous music-related errors.

* Master Training display glitch now resolved.

* Fixed a problem where stat enhancements would keep adding to the fighter's stats…over and over and over.

Enhancements

* Having zero gold in your account ends the game in bankruptcy.

* Saved games no longer deleted upon loading them, but always keep in mind that you only have three saved game slots available.

* Aging curve tweaked to be a little more unpredictable, just like aging in real life.

New Features

* Ten new enchantments for your warriors!

* If you're feeling wussy, bribe your opponents to throw the match.

* Send your warriors on quests to faraway realms, where they can earn gold and buff up their stats—or die a horrible death.
