New Update for Crusader Kings

Crusader Kings, the medieval Grand Strategy PC game from Paradox Interactive, still has avid fans in the strategy gaming community. To support their play, Paradox Interactive has released another update for the game.

Here is short summary of update 1.5:

  • Crusades system revamped
  • Education revamped
  • Lots of realm intrigue and challenges - civil wars, assassination, and break-away satellite states added
  • The way your realm is controlled has been revamped: intrigue (not stewardship) now determines max demesne size and the ruler's martial skill now affects your recruitment rates
  • More court intrigue with unruly bastards, disgruntled heirs, and pushy courtiers added
  • Foreign rulers are now likely to pledge allegiance to powerful neighbors, and successful realms will now be more likely to grant new titles to their trusted courtiers
  • More challenges with the plague being less predictable, illness that can spread through realms and courts, and an overall increase in the mortality rate
