All Hail The Shepherds of Creation!
Co-op scenario released for Dominions II: The Ascension Wars!
Cary, NC, 21 February 2005
Illwinter Game Design has just wrapped up work on a brand new scenario for their smash fantasy hit, Dominions II: The Ascension Wars (available for all major operating systems). Entitled Shepherds of Creation this is a fascinating co-operative mod for seven players against the AI. The seven players represent the Seven Shepherds of Creation, predesigned pretenders seeking to usurp the AI, Baphomet.
Baphomet, the Lord of humans, is an extremely powerful pretender. With his massive strength he will easily be able to take on the pretenders on an individual basis and grind them into memory. To ensure their survival the Seven Shepherds will have to trust and co-operate with each other. But for how long? For you see in the end it's just like Highlander…there can only be one! Whom do you trust? When is the proper time to break the alliance? Who will be the first to do so? Will someone triumph over Baphomet, or will the Seven Shepherds fall amongst each other like a pack of rabid wolves, with Baphomet mopping up the bloody pieces?
Adding to the challenge is the fact that the map is shrouded in total darkness from the very beginning! Unlike the standard Dominions II scenario Shepherds of Creation is hosted by an impartial site and is password protected. Players will not have access to the map file, they will have to set forth and explore with their pretenders.
Because of the special circumstances of the scenario players interested in joining a Shepherds of Creation scenario will have to visit the Dominions II forum at

Released in late 2003 Dominions II: The Ascension Wars quickly became an instant strategy classic. Praised by reviewers, loved around the world by its players, Dominions II is a deep fantasy title of epic turn-based proportions that hearkens back to the days when strategy gaming, not twitchplay, ruled the PC gaming charts. Since its release the developer, Sweden based Illwinter Game Design, has continually worked diligently at making Dominions II even better, listening intently to the rabid fan community. Illwinter is currently hard at work on Dominions III, to be released 4th quarter 2005 through Shrapnel Games, premiere publisher of indie strategy titles.
