Big Brands Calling: Eidos Looks To Mobile To Develop Brand Opportunities

Eidos Interactive, one of the world’s leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, confirms that they are looking to actively increase the number of mobile games made available to support console title releases.

Eidos has already released the groundbreaking Tomb Raider: Legend, Hitman: Blood Money and the award-winning Championship Manager mobile games and in March the Platinum-selling Playstation classic, Pandemonium will raise the bar again for 3D cinematic action games as it launches across all high-end Symbian handsets in the UK.

“We’re supporting our (Eidos’) console releases with mobile versions of the games like Tomb Raider: Legend, Hitman: Blood Money and Championship Manager, whilst also exploring other mobile opportunities with our IPs,” said Simon Protheroe, New Media and IT Director of Eidos. “This way we can offer the consumer other ways to access their favourite games and games characters. So if you can’t get enough of your favourite Eidos game on your console, then you can play the mobile version on your way to work.”

With more titles yet to be announced for 2007 and a larger development team, Eidos is forging ahead with their mobile business and developing brand opportunities through mobile which has become a key part of the business objectives for the SCi owned company.
