Acclaim Shares new info on their upcoming release - All-Star Baseball 2004

The addition of the official Negro League License, all-new Legends Teams and in-game saves

With only four weeks left until the release of All-Star Baseball 2004, Acclaim Entertainment is giving gamers an in-depth scouting report on a few of the new features that Acclaim Studios Austin have been working on in the off-season.

All-Star Baseball 2004 is more than a video game; it's the complete baseball experience. Acclaim Entertainment brings this to you in a package infused with a wealth of baseball history.  For the first time ever, baseball fans of all generations will get the opportunity to meet and compete as or against some of the past phenoms from the Negro Leagues.  These players include greats such as Satchel Paige, Josh Gibson and Buck O'Neil, who commanded the baseball diamond long before Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier with the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Always including a plethora of hall-of-famers in the line-up, All-Star Baseball 2004 is expanding upon its already deep roster and adding a slew of new legends, even a few that have never graced the screen of a color television set.  A small sample of these additions includes Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Ty Cobb.  So pitchers beware, the Bambino is back and has his eye on the right field bleachers!

Another cool feature added this year is designed specifically for these old timers who might need a nap after playing only three innings, it's the addition of in-game saves.  For the first time ever gamers will be able to save their current game in any inning and return to it when the time is right.  So don't worry about the hissy fit your girlfriend throws when she wants to go out to dinner and you're in the top of the 9th with a tie score, just quickly save the game and come back to it later.  This feature has already been shown to reduce the risks of spousal abuse caused by hungry women.

So there's a little taste of some of the historical greats you'll see on the diamond as well as some helpful new features that will prevent you from spending a night on the couch.
