KOEI’s Historic Naval Combat Simulation Ships Today

Burlingame, CA – February 4, 2003 – KOEI Corporation today announced the release of P.T.O.™IV for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system. The hotly anticipated naval combat simulation started shipping today to retailers throughout North America. Consumers can expect to find the game on retail shelves this week, and can still order it through online retailers including ebgames.com, gamestop.com, and toysrus.com.

P.T.O. IV empowers gamers with the authority to make history. Over 300 vessels from World War II are at a player’s disposal. Aided by 100 of the bravest naval officers, players mastermind fleet movements and authorize strategic objectives. To further their cause, players can also develop secret weapons, enlist the use of spies, disrupt trade, and can even realign nations between Axis and Allies.

With 15 Regional Scenarios and 2 Global Campaigns, all of the scenarios in P.T.O IV are based on actual events from World War II. Gamers will take command of Naval forces from the United States, Japan, Great Britain, or Germany. Their objective is to seize control of as many regions as possible and defend against enemy aggression. From the North Sea to Midway to Okinawa- every conquest is one step closer to victory!
