BLOCKBUSTER COMMANDOS 2 EXPLODES ONTO XBOX

San Francisco, CA (February 4, 2002) -- Eidos Interactive, one of the world’s leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, today announced that Commandos 2: Men of Courage is under development for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft.  The game is being developed by Pyro Studios, Spain.

Commandos 2 is a tactical action strategy game set against the backdrop of World War II.  The player takes control of an elite group of Commandos who must venture deep into enemy territory to complete a series of mission-based objectives.  These scenarios involve action both indoors and outdoors in a variety of locations including the infamous Colditz prison, the Eiffel Tower and the Taiho aircraft carrier.

Commandos 2 Xbox features a completely revised control system.  Pyro has dispensed with the ‘point & click’ control system of the PC version and replaced it with a system whereby you have direct control over your characters.  As a result the gameplay is more immediate and fast-paced.
