2K Sports Announces The World Baseball Classic™ Will Be Featured Exclusively In Major League Baseball 2K6
 
2K Sports announced today that the World Baseball Classic™ will be featured exclusively in Major League Baseball 2K6. The highly anticipated World Baseball Classic™ is a 16-nation tournament featuring the world’s best players competing for their home countries or territories. The tournament will take place in March 2006 and gamers can now experience this unique event exclusively in Major League Baseball 2K6.
 
“The excitement is building for the inaugural World Baseball Classic,” stated Greg Thomas, president of Visual Concepts, a 2K Sports studio. “International baseball brings a fresh new take on the sport as players from across the world compete for their home country. This new baseball experience will be brought to life for gamers to enjoy only in Major League Baseball 2K6.”

The World Baseball Classic features the world’s best baseball players, competing on 16 teams from the Americas, Asia and Europe. The tournament begins on March 3 and will continue through March 20, when the Finals will be held at PETCO Park in San Diego, California.
 
Major League Baseball 2K6 is the exclusive and only officially licensed Major League Baseball video game that will be available on every major gaming console, including the Xbox 360™ and Xbox® video game and entertainment systems from Microsoft, the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, the Nintendo GameCube™, and the PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable) system. The World Baseball Classic is one of several new features found in Major League Baseball 2K6. New features and additional information will be announced in the near future.
