After
overwhelming demand from fans, Take-Two Interactive's Gathering publishing
division has shipped Conflict: Desert Storm II: Back to Baghdad(TM) for the
Nintendo® GameCube(TM). GameCube owners will be able to storm the sands of Iraq
in this intense, squad-based shooter alone or with up to three other friends in
four-player cooperative multi-player mode for the ultimate in team-based combat.
Conflict: Desert Storm II: Back to Baghdad:
Based on events of the 1991 Gulf War, Conflict: Desert Storm II challenges
gamers with a multitude of intense, expansive missions that offer a great level
of atmosphere, realism and tactical tasks. Facing intelligent opponents that
react to players' movements with strategic countermeasures, Conflict: Desert
Storm II presents some of the most advanced combat AI seen to date. Gamers jump
back into battle with a squad comprised of familiar faces: Bradley, the Team
Leader; Jones, the Combat Engineer; Foley, the Sniper and Connors, the Heavy
Weapons Specialist. Each team member returns with their own unique skill sets
and authentic arsenal of weapons. In order to present the most realistic
depiction of the intense ground war in Iraq, Gathering has brought back Cameron
Spence as technical consultant on the game, a former high-ranking British SAS
officer who served in the 1991 Gulf War to give the developers further insight
into desert warfare. An incredible assortment of authentic weapons, equipment
and Gulf War-era vehicles have been implemented to add an amazing level of
realism and detail. Each highly intricate campaign will require players to
coordinate the unique skills and weapons of each team member, to strategically
combat a variety of scenarios and enemy forces. Additional advances include a
new weapon-specific targeting system, dynamic lighting, environmental effects,
and deformable terrain among other features.
Conflict: Desert Storm II is rated T for teen and is available for the
suggested retail price of $49.99
