Airfix Dogfighter Review

This flight game will take you to new heights of gameplay! There are plenty of flight games on the market today but none of them equal this game in play, graphics, fun and everything else involved in your everyday game. I have played many games involving some kind of fighting action from aliens to planes but this game is so much more. It gives you the equal of several games bundled into one and this one is second to none!

The game opens up with an model airplane and a voice telling you of the mission you are about to go on. You can choose the one you are given or create your own, which really makes the game a lot more personal. You find yourself in a house filled with rooms just waiting for you to explore. You fly about the rooms making sure to collect objects such as paints, brushes and other objects associated with making model planes. To help you find the objects they have an insignia of wings imprinted on them, although many will just involve the search and find skill.

This game really gives you a lot of control of your surroundings to play the game and this is a feature I always appreciate as it gets the player totally involved in the game itself from beginning to end. Although you are given a house when you start feel free to make your own modifications. Reorganize a few pieces of furniture, choose you sleeping space or if you are content with your living space go into a special room and make s few models the way you want them to be. This is just a couple of examples of the control you have over the entire game and believe me there are many, many more!

This game is one of those games you can play for hours, take a break and go back for more. Each mission is different as you have such a variety of planes to choose from. Creating the homefield, making your plane your way and search and find feature are just a few of the many, many pluses with this game. You are also given a choice of weapons, bombs and rockets not to mention machine guns to win this game, which is icing on the cake. Once you feel like the sky is not the limit and only the beginning you are ready to take on other aircraft and let the fighting begin!

Install: Easy
Involves installation a single CD

Gameplay: 9.0
This is one of those games, which requires skill and strategy and both will help you to win against other aircraft. I like the fact that the game gives you complete control over every area. Realistic air fights really gives this game hours of fun and fight.

Graphics: 9.5
Graphics are unbelievable realistic. Bold and bright colors really make this game stand out. Model airplanes are as realistic as those you build at home, not to mention the house or weapons. No skimping on graphics anywhere throughout the game!

Sound: 9.0
Music throughout the game is solid and good upbeat tempo to really get you into the fight mode.

Difficulty: 9.0
The difficulty level is in perfect par with the game itself. Control of the plane and surroundings keep this game at a pace that is easy enough to keep up with as well as fast enough to keep it challenging during the fighting and building mode.

Concept: 9.0
Although aircraft fighting games have been on the market for a long time, this one stands out in several areas. The choice of creating your aircraft you want to take part in the fighting as well as a search and find mission for clues and weapons gives this game a new and different look.

Multiplayer: 9.5
This game can be played online with other players and gives the game a whole new and challenging feel to it.

Overall: 9.5
This game has a high quality look to it and puts you in the pilot seat every step of the way. Gameplay like it should be!
