Michael Knutson: The graphics for this game are outstanding! Just looking at simple things like the water animation is breathtaking. Many games talk about water physics and animations, but this game has definitely set the bar for future videogames. Everything in this game is oozing with details and it makes you feel as you are really in an underwater city, from the leaking roofs to the fish swimming outside. It is a surreal experience that every gamer should take part in. Stephen Woodward: The realism in this game is stylized just enough; the player is simultaneously wowed by both horror and beauty. Eduardo Zacarias: With colorful, well-detailed and occasionally strange visuals, Bioshock has some of the most eye-catching visuals you’ll find on the PC or Xbox 360. Even the character models and lighting effects will not fail to capture your attention. Angelina Sandoval: What can be said about a game that features impressive backgrounds, excellent lighting that sets the dark mood perfectly, as well as the creepy denizens of the underwater city? Bioshock is just one of these visually stunning games that light up the Xbox 360. Natalie Romano: An visual achievement, Bioshock is what Xbox 360 dreams are made of and you’ll know it the minute the game begins. Everything from the great water effects to the hulking Big Daddies simply leaps off the screen. Louis Bedigian: Stunning, stunning, stunning. BioShock rivals Gears of War not just with its textures, character designs and special effects (the fire animations are unprecedented), but as an entire awe-inspiring experience. More often than not, the graphics have no influence on the gameplay. But just as the Transformers movie rocked theaters with breathtaking visuals, BioShock is made more intense -- and several times more fun -- by making the high cost of a next-gen console worth every penny. That's why we're willing to upgrade to a new generation -- to be blown away. BioShock delivers that blow so intensely that you'll find it difficult to go back to older games. It's a true showpiece of what the Xbox 360 is capable of, whether experienced in high-def or on a 20-year-old TV. Nick Valentino: Whether you play this game on the PC or on the Xbox 360, Bioshock is simply one of those gorgeous-looking games that push a system’s graphics capabilities to its maximum. Everything from the lighting to the graphical details look good in this game. Steven Hopper: Showcasing as good of use as any of the coveted Unreal Engine 3, Bioshock's gorgeous and highly detailed world is well represented with rich textures, haunting lighting effects and strong character models. Mike David: When a game can make you believe that the events were filmed and not rendered, you know you are playing a next gen title. Not only are Bioshock's graphics a step above anything else, as a player, you become enveloped in the world it takes place in. From its fiery beginning to the spectacular visuals of the game's villains, the splicers, to the unnerving combination of Big Daddies and Little Sisters moving around the slowly dying city, killing any and everything in their way. Bioshock is the real reason to purchase an HDTV; yes, it is that good. Aceinet: Besides the incredible art style, the rest of the visuals in Bioshock are simply amazing. The frame rate is always rock solid regardless of the action on the screen. The game is full of special visual effects that burst from the screen after you enhance your character with the various Plasmids in the game. Setting an enemy on fire, electrifying them and throwing back grenades using telekinesis never looked so good.
