PSP Finalists

While it may not have the high sales numbers of the Nintendo DS, the PSP is still a strong competitor in the handheld realm. Plus, with the new PSP Slim model available on store shelves, the system is even more enticing to gamers looking to take their gaming on the move.

PSP Game Of The Year 2007 Finalists

FINAL FANTASY TACTICS: The War of the Lions

GameZone's Review

The combat is excruciatingly difficult. But it is also very entertaining. The depth is overwhelming at first, and may once again feel overwhelming if this is your first time playing the game since 1998. Within that bombarding sensation is a strategy/RPG that will hold your attention for years to come. It’s not just another great game, or another one that’s worth playing. It demands ownership and begs to be revisited. Finally, you may now do so anywhere on PSP.

Jeanne d'Arc

GameZone's Review

The gameplay is addictive and the game is recommended for those PSP owners looking for a good game – whether you are a fan of Japanese RPGs or not. It plays well, you will find that the characters have a bit of personality (yes, even Liane – whose value is definitely in the role of healer or spellcaster), and the game’s missions are diverse enough to give you a reason to keep moving the story forward. This is a terrific PSP title.

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords

GameZone's Review

I am really glad that some developers decided to branch out and try to combine various genres that people would normally not think of combining. Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is a great game that will offer hours of playtime. You will not want to let this game out of your hands because it is extremely addicting for anyone who gets their hands on it.

Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters

GameZone's Review

In terms of scope, the game just as big and deep as the PS2 games. The crazy arsenal of weapons at your disposal is present, and the environments are pretty varied and large. The controls are spot-on, an impressive feat for a PSP game, and the action is engrossing and fun. Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters is a great addition to the series, and one that takes it to the handheld format in prime form. Pick it up if you’re jonesing for the next great PSP game.

Silent Hill Origins

GameZone's Review

Silent Hill 0rigins impressively brings all the elements we love about the Silent Hill franchise to a portable format that works wonderfully. Yes, there are a few weak spots that keep this from being just as slick as the console games but the overall presentation, good story and familiar Silent Hill essentials make this an impressive PSP game that captures the spirit of the franchise.

Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow

GameZone's Review

Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow is a great entry to the series and continues its fine legacy on the PSP. Whereas previous console iterations have been average at best, the PSP keeps churning out great additions to the Syphon Filter series. Fans of action games and of the PSP would do well to pick this title up.
