The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

GameZone's Review

Aceinet: Phantom Hourglass proves that you should never underestimate a Zelda game, even if it's on a portable system. All of the amazing experiences of a Zelda game from fantastic dungeons, bosses and puzzles are the norm for Phantom Hourglass. Yet the innovative controls of the DS help push Phantom Hourglass to a different level from other games. No matter the platform, a Zelda game is always an incredible experience that shouldn't be missed. Phantom Hourglass is no different and continues the majestic tradition of the Zelda series.

Eduardo Zacarias: Zelda fans have a lot to rejoice because Phantom Hourglass is a stellar adventure game ripe with innovative and fun puzzles. It’s also a really good Zelda game.

Angelina Sandoval: The Nintendo DS is truly the home of the most innovative handheld games and the Phantom Hourglass is just one of those games. As a Zelda fan, I can recommend this one ‘till the cows come home but all you have to do is play it and you’ll see for yourself why this one is so great.

Nick Valentino: At last we have a portable adventure game we can take with us on the go. This is a true Zelda classic and an overall enjoyable adventure game.

Louis Bedigian: The Nintendo DS is more than a handheld, and more than a system with a touch screen. This system is a platform for innovative new concepts and for new visions of existing franchises. From the beginning, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass was destined to be a graphical and musical masterpiece. But the gameplay was a question mark. Could the touch-only controls – which required players to use their stylus to attack, use items, solve puzzles, and to move Link through the environments – be utilized properly? At first touch, the truth was revealed: Nintendo had discovered another great idea. Skeptical gamers didn’t have to play Phantom Hourglass for more than a minute to be convinced – they could feel the innovation from the moment the stylus touched the screen.
