Man, what a year for Microsoft’s console. Not only did the system see the final title in the beloved Halo trilogy (Halo 3 also broke many sales records for the entertainment industry as a whole), but tons of other AAA games coming out for the system, as well. Picking the game of the year for the 360 was no easy task, but here’s what we could come up with…
Xbox 360 Game Of The Year 2007
BioShock
GameZone's Review

Louis Bedigian: With so many first-person shooters striving for multiplayer supremacy, most forget what it means to provide a stellar single-player experience. It’s for
that reason that the developers of BioShock decided to forego any kind of multiplayer content. Halo and Call of Duty fans may have grumbled at the thought, but the finished product
can’t be beat. Its intense, in-your-face, kill-or-be-killed experience is one of next-gen proportions. The seamless controls and steady frame rate insure the experience never wavers.
BioShock is constantly in a place of claustrophobic insecurity. It’s not a survival/horror game but it has a very horrific vibe and a premise that could send chills up your spine.
The chemically enhanced, self-inflicted powers drew their inspiration from games like Psi-Ops but with several times more polish. Whether levitating objects or setting monsters (that
were once human!?) on fire, the game feels just right. Anyone can grasp the controls, even though its excessively dark content is only suitable for gamers that aren’t afraid of things
that creep around in the night.
Eduardo Zacarias: A plane crash, an underwater city and a number of infected freaks make up what will surely be remembered as a true gaming classic. Yes, it’s a first-person
shooter but it strays far from the conventional FPS trappings. This is an original and stylish game that deserves top spot this year.
Natalie Romano: First-person shooter fans that still remember System Shock will certainly remember BioShock even more fondly. It’s the type of game that remains with you long
after you switched off your Xbox 360 and that makes this a true gaming gem.
Michael Knutson: I highly enjoyed many aspects of this game, from the graphics that helped portray such a dilapidated city, to the surreal music that moves you on from each
location. The story wrapped all of the elements into one nice package that makes this game worthy to be put in any gaming collection.
Nick Valentino: One of the most unforgettable and deeply involving first-person shooters, BioShock is just one of those games that play with your nerves and rattle your senses.
It’s a gorgeous-looking game that does just about everything right. This one truly deserves your money and attention.
Aceinet: BioShock simply sucks you in by giving you a FPS experience unlike any other. The atmosphere and look of the game will remind you of a Sci-Fi movie from the late 50's
and early 60's. The game lets you customize your character with a ton of enhancements, such as telekinesis and others, that keeps the game from becoming just another shooter.
