Man, what a year for Microsoft’s console. Not only did the system see the final title in the beloved Halo trilogy (Halo 3 also broke many sales records for the entertainment industry as a whole), but tons of other AAA games coming out for the system, as well. Picking the game of the year for the 360 was no easy task, but here’s what we could come up with…
Xbox 360 Game Of The Year 2007 Finalists
BioShock
GameZone's Review

Bioshock is a full blown, in-your-face gaming experience that will have you testing your own mettle and challenging you to look at video games in a different way. One, because the game truly provides you with options on how to approach the game, and two, this is a thinking person's action title.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
GameZone's Review

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is one of those exceedingly rare games that manages to do everything right. The graphics are fantastic, the gameplay is intense and well-paced, and the multiplayer elements are very deep. In a year filled with triple-A shooters, Call of Duty 4 actually manages to stay ahead of the pack.
Halo 3
GameZone's Review

The final entry to the much-loved Halo trilogy, Halo 3 ties up all loose ends for the series, as well as expands upon the series' cinematic storytelling and intense action. The capstone for all Halo fans, Halo 3 is as good an ending for the series as you could hope for.
Mass Effect
GameZone's Review

The first in a trilogy, Mass Effect delivers the next-generation experience I was expecting. The storyline had me hooked until the very end where it left me wanting more. I can honestly say that the universe Bioware created is the best I have encountered since George Lucas created Star Wars. Never have I been compelled to find out everything there is to a storyline as I did with Mass Effect.
Rock Band
GameZone's Review

The next step in the evolution of the rhythm genre, Rock Band brings the co-op element into the mix as it's never been done before in the past. A truly exciting experience, Rock Band blurs the line between the party and rhythm game genre, making for a great time with your friends.
The Orange Box
GameZone's Review

The Orange Box has raised the bar when it comes to value for your gaming dollar. Sure, we get collections of older games released all the time, even some with improved visuals, controls, music, etc. However, The Orange Box has proven that gamers are entitled to a collection of AAA gaming content without having to break the bank to pay for it. Finding another collection that matches the quality of The Orange Box is next to impossible.
And the Xbox 360 Winner is...
