MIA

1. In LoL: The enemy you're laning against isn't there.

2. Missing in Action, reffering to anyone who is missing or not in clear view.

Mid

1. the middle of the map.

--In a sentence: "DON'T FIGHT IN MID."

MOBA

Acronym

1. Multiplayer Online Battle Arena.

--MOBA games include: Defense of the Ancients (DotA), LoL, Heroes of Newerth

Nerf

1. To weaken.

--In a sentence: "If they nerf this again I'll be able to walk into Mordor alone."

--Originated in early MMO's in reference to how a Nerf Gun's ammo couldn't offer any potential harm to anyone. It was adopted by the gaming community to showcase weakening of zones or fights.

Noob

1. noun: Describes a player that is new to a game and lacks experience.

2. noun: Describes a player that is terrible at a game and refuses to learn more.

--In a sentence: "Why are you such a noob?!"

--Also referred to as: n00b, newb, newbie, noobie.

Noobtube

1. Grenade launcher in CoD.

--In a sentence: "He's using a noobtube >:("

NPC

1. Non-Playable Character

--In a sentence: "Just stand in the back near that NPC and look pretty."

OBT

1. Open Beta Test

--In a sentence: "I got the invite into the OBT"

OOM

1. Out of mana/magic.

--In a sentence: "The healer is oom!"

OTW

Acronym

1. On the way.

--In a sentence: "I'm otw."

P2P

Acronym

1.Pay to play 

--In a sentence: "World of Warcraft is P2P."

Pat

1.Short for "Patrol" -- A NPC that patrols a certain area in a game.

--In a sentence: "Don't pull that pat."

Pew Pew

1. The sound of lazer guns.

2. Describes pwning someone.

--In a sentence: 1. " ...and I was all like, pew pew pew."

--In a sentence: 2. "More pew pew less QQ."

Pull

1. When you deliberatly begin combat with a NPC in a game.

--In a sentence: "I'll be pulling in three seconds."

PvE

1. Player versus Enviroment

--In a sentence: "I'm going to play on a PvE realm"

--PvE can also be referred to as PvM [Player vs. Monster]

PvP

1. Player versus player.

--In a sentence: "Want to do some PvP matches?"

Pwned

1. Owned.

--In a sentence: "I totally pwned them."

QQ

1.An abbreviation and way of representing crying, because of the resemblance to tearing eyes.

--In a sentence: "Stop QQing."

RL

--In a sentence: "I want a girl friend IRL."

--Also known as: IRL [ in real life]

RPG

1. Role Playing Game.

2. Rocket Propelled Grenade

--In a sentence: 1. "Dragon Age was such a good RPG."
