New Super Mario Bros. Wii Blowout: Koopaling Capers, Ice Flowers, Box Art, Tins, and More

Quite a bit of stirring has occurred in the neck of the woods inhabited by New Super Mario Bros. Wii as of late. Taking it from the top, Nintendo Everything has found the box art for the PAL version of the game, the German version, more specifically. As you can see to your right, it is very similar to the North American box art, but with the Wii banner at the top colored red to better go with the large red box at the bottom that some people have taken issue with. Personally? I think I like it better this way. That's not the only box-related goodness available for those across the pond, however. Read on for more. Read More

Nintendo Download - 9/21/09: Toppling Cubes, 3-D Characters and Classic Ninja Kicks Lead a Stellar L

All in all, it looks like one of the slower weeks for the Nintendo Download. Nothing too bad; Nintendo's own You, Me, and the Cubes for 1,000 Wii Points on WiiWare and Last Ninja 2 for 500 on the Commodore 64 Virtual Console might be alright, but truth be told, my focus will be solely on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up once it gets here. I wonder if that release is responsible for the lower-profile online offerings? In any case, You, Me, and the Cubes is from Nintendo themselves, so it may very well be worth a look. Rounding things out on WiiWare is the latest "Family" title from Aksys Games, Family Tennis. For 500 Wii Points, you can spend more time with Daddy, Mommy, Sarah, and Billy with "fast paced" tennis action that carries the allure of "mild suggestive themes." Finally, DSiWare brings another bite-sized chunk of Clubhouse Games, this time with the Express "Strategy Pack" for 500 DSi Points. EA is also offering up a "MySims Camera" for 200, which allows you to let MySims characters mingle with the real-world photos you take. Find more details on each title after the cut. Read More

Nintendo Reveals First- and Third-Party Holiday Lineup

Nintendo has released the planned publishing schedule as it stands for the Wii and Nintendo DS/DSi, from both themselves and their third-parties. A lot of definite dates are not set in, instead referenced as "Fall," "Holiday," or "November," for example, but nonetheless serves to give us an idea of what the coming months will bring. "This extensive lineup will keep players busy throughout the fall and into 2010," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "Shoppers know that Nintendo offers fun for everyone in the household." Nintendo also mentions the upcoming black Wii Remote, Nunchuk, and MotionPlus as being available "this holiday season," though they don't get any more specific than that. Hit the jump for the full press release and list of games that will become available. Read More
