Last year, Microsoft kicked off the first Summer of Arcade, a summer-long event that gave us a whole mess of critically acclaimed, bite-sized games including Braid, Bionic Commando: Rearmed, and Castle Crashers. This year, Microsoft brings back the Summer of Arcade with an equally impressive lineup. Larry Hryb, better known as Major Nelson, posted the release schedule over at his blog, causing most of us here at Kombo to drool uncontrollably. 'Splosion Man – July 22 (800 pts) Marvel vs. Capcom 2 – July 29 (1200 pts) TMNT: Turtles in Time Re-shelled – August 5 (1200 pts) Trials HD – August 12 (1200 pts) Shadow Complex – August 19 (1200 pts) I know that our news director, David Oxford, is itchin' to get his hands on Turtles in Time Re-shelled, a 3D remake of the arcade title many of us poured quarters into as kids. As for me? I have a raging nerdon for Chair Entertainment's Shadow Complex, a fusion of Metroidvania gameplay and Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game) storytelling.
