Tom Clancy's EndWar Faction Elite Pack Available Today

You better dust off that copy of Tom Clancy's EndWar because later today you'll be able to download the 2nd round of DLC for the title. Following the "Escalation Pack" that was released back in early December, the "Faction Elite Pack" will give you access to three new battalions and immediate access to six exclusive upgrades. While I would like to tell you that Ubisoft is giving this minuscule update away for free, I can't do that because, well, they aren't. The "Faction Elite Pack" will cost you 300 Microsoft points (360) or $3.75 (PSN). Click through for the full press release. Read More

Tom Clancy's EndWar Gets Escalation DLC and Free Title Patch for 4-on-4

The game may be called EndWar, but that doesn't mean the battle is finished yet. Far from it, in fact, for as long as Ubisoft continues to release new downloadable content for it. And wouldn't you know it, that's precisely what they are doing this very day. Titled "The Escalation Pack," this ten dollar/800 Billy Buck package will assign you four new missions to complete, along with three exclusive unit upgrades and ten new Achievements/Trophies to obtain. And for the Xbox 360 owners, there's a little something more that PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait until early '09 to get their hands on. Read More

Ubisoft Confirms Assassin's Creed 2 is In Development

Ubisoft talked a bit about their financial situation today, which is to say that they're doing pretty good, with sales of $443 million USD for the first half, and $31.7 million USD for operating income, which is around twice what they made for the same period last year. Early sales of Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party and Shaun White Snowboarding have been "solid," with the bunnies performing better than expected, but Tom Clancy's Endwar being "slower." But the most interesting news comes in what they're working on now:CEO Yves Guillemot also confirmed that the next Assassin's Creed was in development. That shouldn't come as a surprise, considering the financial success of the original Assassin's Creed. The game sold an estimated 5 million copies over the past year. Still, Guillemot's assertion that someone, somewhere at Ubisoft is "working hard on the product" is comforting. Assassin's Creed producer Jade Raymond is rumored to be working on a new property, I Am Alive, with bearded Creative Director Patric Desilets working on ... something. -- KotakuI'm sure there will be a few people happy to hear Altair will be along soon.
