The Walking Dead is a five-part game series set in the same universe as Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic book series. Play as Lee Everett, a convicted criminal, who has been given a second chance at life in a world devastated by the undead. With corpses returning to life and survivors stopping at nothing to maintain their own safety, protecting an orphaned girl named Clementine may offer him redemption in a world gone to hell.
I’ll have to admit, before I started playing The Walking Dead, I was curious what kind of approach Telltale Games would take with the game series. They’ve made some solid licensed stuff in the past, including the Back To the Future saga and the delightful return of Sam and Max, but then they tripped with the quick-time event laden Jurassic Park series, which ran out of steam before it even got started. But after plowing through the two-plus hours of intensity that this game provided, I can definitely say that Telltale is back on the right track here.
