Chronicles of Riddick DLC Planned

A few weeks before a game releases seems like a strange time to start announcing DLC, but nobody pays me to make decisions so what do I know? The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is set to drop on April 7th, and developer Starbreeze AB has announced that five additional maps for the multiplayer will be released for download at some point. Multiplayer wasn't included in the original Chronicles of Riddick, but Dark Athena comes equipped with 15 maps and six modes right out of the box. The modes listed are the ever-popular Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag, along with the interesting sounding Butcher Bay Riot, Pitch Black and Arena. Of course, Starbreeze hasn't announced a price or a date for the DLC yet, but the early announcement will likely cause unrest just the same. How do you feel about it when developers start working on DLC before a game has even shipped? Read More

Now, a different tact is being taken for its release. Read More
