I had always thought Dole bananas were the official snack food of Super Monkey Ball, but there is apparently a new brand in town as SEGA is partnering with Chiquita Fresh North America to promote February 9th's Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll. Nintendo's First-Quarter 2010 Lineup Revealed

Today, Nintendo issued a press release which reveals their lineup for the first quarter of 2010, which includes Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, whose box art can be seen above, as well as new pink and blue Wii Remote/MotionPlus packages on February 14th. "Along with the current White and Black versions of the controller, now every player in four-player matches can have his or her own color." Nintendo Reveals First- and Third-Party Holiday Lineup

Nintendo has released the planned publishing schedule as it stands for the Wii and Nintendo DS/DSi, from both themselves and their third-parties. A lot of definite dates are not set in, instead referenced as "Fall," "Holiday," or "November," for example, but nonetheless serves to give us an idea of what the coming months will bring. "This extensive lineup will keep players busy throughout the fall and into 2010," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "Shoppers know that Nintendo offers fun for everyone in the household." Nintendo also mentions the upcoming black Wii Remote, Nunchuk, and MotionPlus as being available "this holiday season," though they don't get any more specific than that. Hit the jump for the full press release and list of games that will become available. Read More

Super Monkey Ball: Step and Roll Announced

The Sega Europe blog ended the Jackpot countdown that's been popping up on Sega's Twitter feed for a few days now. What pops out but five AiAis there to declare a new entry in the Monkey Ball franchise. As the trailer above indicates, Super Monkey Ball: Step and Roll will be a balance board compatible (maybe required?) game releasing winter of 2010. Will it be as difficult as the ball balancing mini-game in Wii Fit? Hit the break for more, including a brief description of the game... Read More
