Game Summary

The Space Pirates, merciless agents of the evil Mother Brain, have stolen the last Metroid from a research station, and once again Mother Brain threatens the safety of the galaxy. Samus Aran must don her awesome array of high-tech weaponry to retrieve the deadly Metroid hidden deep within the cave-riddled planet Zebes. Super Metroid features excellent graphics, with a huge variety of enemies and worlds to explore. The side-view action will be familiar to many players, only now there are new weapons and items, including the Grappling Beam, which allows Samus to swing across large chasms, and the X-Ray Scope, which reveals secret passages.

Super Metroid Cheats

Energy Refill

Unlock Wii
Note: This code requires the default controller setting to be selected. Collect a minimum of ten missiles, ten super missiles, and eleven power bombs. Perform the following actions when the life meter has less than fifty points and the reserve energy tanks are empty. Roll into a ball and press Select(3). Hold X (a power bomb will be released), Then hold L + R + Down. With all buttons held, the screen will turn white when the power bomb explodes. The energy tanks will be now be refilled.
Destroy the gun emplacements on the walls when you enter Draygoon's Arena. Then, allow Draygoon to pick you up. Hook on to the destroyed emplacements with the Grappling Beam when they come into view and Draygoon will fall in no time. Note: Make sure you have a lot of energy, as some will be drained during the battle.
There is another weapon that can be used besides the missile/bomb/laser variety. The Charge Beam and a Power Bomb are required. First, deactivate the Wave and Spazer settings if necessary. Next, select the Power Bombs and charge up the laser. It will activate at full charge. There are three types of this weapon, picked by weapon selection. Charge alone: Unknown Ice/Charge: Four ice balls spin around Samus and freeze anything they touch Plasma/Charge: Four green pulses fly in an outward spiral
When encountered by a standard Metroid (not the super-enhanced baby or the things in Maridia), use a Power Bomb on it. For novices, Freeze your Metroid first, although it is not necessary. Sensing that the first Metroid is in danger, all remaining Metroids in the room will come your way. Fortunately, it takes three actual hits with power bombs (which may connect twice with one bomb) to destroy a Metroid (without the Ice Beam). When your melee with the room's Metroids is finished, you will notice that they are not in their usual hiding places. Regarding the power bomb healing technique, it requires at least 10 missiles, at least 11 super missiles, at least 11 power bombs and 29 or less energy units (not including reserve tanks). This trick is difficult, but may be done with practice.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEFEAT KRAID IN THE BEGINNING. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEFEAT THE CROCOMIRE IN NORFAIR. YOU DON'T NEED THE VARIA SUIT AT ALL! YOU DON'T NEED THE GRAPPLING BEAM TO REACH THE WRECKED SHIP. First, make sure you have enough energy by collecting all the energy tanks that you see. After you clear Brinstar, go down the elevator to Norfair. Get the high jump boots and other items. Don't go back up; go straight through the door that takes you to a HOT room (make sure you have enough energy). This is the hard part: rush through the 3 rooms as quickly as you can. You will be safe after you reach the room with a lot of bubbles. Keep healing yourself by defeating the enemies and collect the energy balls that appear. After you got full energy, save the game. Next, jump to the top right area by using the wall bouncing technique (hard). Take a deep breath and rush through the several rooms as quickly as possible and get the speed booster at the last room. (If you have enough energy, you can get the missile pod before you enter the room by shooting at the bubbles at the ceiling.) Run like crazy back to the big bubble room. Now you can use the lower exit and run through the walls to go back to the main lobby of Norfair. Ride the elevator back up and explore with your new items to collect more items. Go to the entrance on Crateria to the wrecked ship (save the game on Samus's ship first). Defeat all the green flies for running space. Open the right door but don't enter yet. Go to the center of the room and run to make Samus flash then somersault over the stairway and after you reach the door, do a flying body slam by pressing DOWN,FOWARD,and JUMP (These actions must be executed quickly!). You will fly across the next room over the blue water to the other side. Exit through the door and turn off high jump boots (this enables you to jump far). Run and jump across the platforms to reach the wrecked ship. (You see? No grappling beams are needed!) Enter the door and defeat the ghosts and balls to get some energy balls. Go down and kill the Phantoon. After that explore the ship and get the gravity suit. By the way, when you reach the room with a lot of spikes on the floor and a lot of grappling hook blocks on the top, just run across the room. Leap when Samus is about to stop flashing and you must turn off high jump boots. After you get the gravity suit, you can go exploring around places that you can't before, such as Norfair's high temp areas, or you could go directly to Maridia. Continue on the game. You can't save Godzilla and 8 Eyes for last. Kraid will die with one shot of the plasma beams and Crocomire will retreat to his death on the boiling lave with just one shot also.
