Media: New Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Official Trailer and Two New Character Vignettes

It seems like only yesterday I had to clench my teeth and talk about Jean Grey's addition to the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 roster, but it was actually just last week. And now, here we are with some more new videos from the San Diego Comic-Con show floor. First up, we have the new official trailer, showing off neat stuff like power customization, special moves, team creation, 4-player multiplayer, and most importantly of all, Deadpool being awesome. Double Dragon and Speedball 2 No Longer for Sale on Xbox LIVE Marketplace

Well, this is certainly disappointing news. Earlier this year, May to be precise, London-based developer/publisher Empire Interactive shut their doors. They didn't have the greatest catalog of titles, but they did have one or two items of interest on their resume: Specifically, the Xbox LIVE Arcade version of Double Dragon (and a game called Speedball 2). The unfortunate news is that, seemingly as a result of their closing, BeefJack reports that both titles have been removed from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Those who have downloaded either title previously can still do so again if need be, thanks to Account Management, but new purchases are no-go. This leaves me in an interesting place: I've downloaded the demo, so the game is there on my drive; I just never actually purchased it. I wonder if I would still be able to, or if I am also locked out from purchase. I'll try to find out tonight. Meanwhile, there's no word on if the two might be brought back in some capacity. Rumor: List of Potential Xbox Live Deletion Candidates

So, word has gotten out that, rather than making an easier-to-use interface, Microsoft is simply going to erase any game that's not bringing in great numbers from the Xbox Live Marketplace. However, they've yet to announce any titles which will see their plugs pulled. Which is of course what makes this rumored list interesting, as it looks at all the current titles which fulfill the given criteria given by MS: Available for six months, and holding a 65 percent or less Metacritic rating. The last criteria, current unknown and seperating these titles from virtual oblivion, is whether they've had a steady conversion rate. Of course, even though they will retain all functionality and still be able to be re-downloaded in the event of lost data, the following list are the ones you should probably snag sooner, if you wish to take advantage of that safety net, as there may not be a later. See the list (and a few thoughts) after the jump. Read More
