Game Review

I never played the first Sparkle game, which was on mobile devices. As a matter of face, my first experience with a 10tons game was King Oddball on the PlayStation 4, which I found weird and addicting. When I got a review code for Sparkle 2, I didn't even read the email. I saw a screenshot, thought "Oh my god it's Zuma! I love Zuma!", and... Read Review

ESRB Entertains with Rating Descriptions for Final Fantasy XIII & Mass Effect 2

The addition of rather in-depth summaries for games rated by the ESRB has provided a bit of entertainment amongst gamers for some time now. And in some cases, it has even convinced people to look into buying games they weren't interested in or were previously uncertain of. Two of the latest come from a pair of upcoming role-playing games, Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIII and BioWare's Mass Effect 2, whose predecessor caused a bit of a stir over what many considered to be nothing. But now, people can go in knowing full and well what sort of sexual and violent content they can expect. Read More

Media: Rabbids Go Home - Rabbids Love Vampire Movies! and More

I have to admit, it pleases me greatly that Ubisoft continues to promote Rabbids Go Home with funny new materials well after the game has been released. And in this particular case, they have something special cooked up for fans of Ella, Bedward, and all the kooks who sparkle in the night: I couldn't have put it any better myself. That's not the only thing Ubisoft has done, though. Read More

Nintendo Download - 11/02/09 - This Week's Downloadable Lineup Truly Sparkles

Ugh, did you have to use the word "sparkles," Nintendo? That word's sort of taboo right now. Okay, fortunately, none of the downloads this week involve Twilight. I'd thank the Price of Darkness for that, but unfortunately, his game hasn't shown up on WiiWare this week. Maybe I will instead just thank the heir to the name, Ozzy Osbourne, when he guest hosts Raw tonight. Anyway, before I mutter too much about the nearly complete and utter ruination of vampires, the "sparkle" alluded to is a new DSiWare app from Nintendo called Sparkle Snapshots, which will run you 500 DSi Points and let you pretty up pictures taken with the DSi camera. Fun at parties, I'm sure. Read More

Nintendo Reveals First- and Third-Party Holiday Lineup

Nintendo has released the planned publishing schedule as it stands for the Wii and Nintendo DS/DSi, from both themselves and their third-parties. A lot of definite dates are not set in, instead referenced as "Fall," "Holiday," or "November," for example, but nonetheless serves to give us an idea of what the coming months will bring. "This extensive lineup will keep players busy throughout the fall and into 2010," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "Shoppers know that Nintendo offers fun for everyone in the household." Nintendo also mentions the upcoming black Wii Remote, Nunchuk, and MotionPlus as being available "this holiday season," though they don't get any more specific than that. Hit the jump for the full press release and list of games that will become available. Read More
