Media: Sacred 2 Opening Cinematic

A couple of weeks ago I told you about the console versions Sacred 2: Fallen Angel getting delayed. No reason was given but if you take a look around your room and see copies of Gears of War 2, Fallout 3, Fable 2, and LittleBigPlanet strewn about – I think you already know the reason. If you were looking forward to checking out Sacred 2, here's the opening cinematic to tide you over until it comes out on February 17, 2009. I really want to play as the dude with the horse head. Sacred 2: Fallen Angel Delayed on Consoles Until Q1 2009

Ascaron announced today that the console versions of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel were going to be pushed back to an early 2009 launch. I'm guessing someone at the studio logged onto the World Wide Web and quickly realized that there were about a billion games coming out in the next 2 months that could cause their game to get overlooked. I mean, Sacred 2 or Gears of War 2 – Yeah, I think it's pretty obvious what Blvntsm0ker187 from Xbox Live would choose. If you have a PC you're still in luck. Sacred 2: Fallen Angel will still be releasing for the personal computer on November 7. ASCARON, one of the leading German manufacturers and developers of games software, and Deep Silver, the games label of Koch Media, a leading producer and distributor of digital entertainment products, today announced the release date for the console versions of Sacred 2 – Fallen Angel. Sacred 2 – Fallen Angel is being developed for PLAYSTATION®3 and the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®, and will be released in the first quarter of 2009. "We have committed ourselves to offering gamers nothing but top quality. In order to be able to further optimize the online components of the console versions, and ensure a simultaneous release world-wide, we have chosen to aim for this release date for the console versions," says Heiko tom Felde, CEO of ASCARON.-- Ascaron I'm totally behind this delay for one reason. This is one game that will do much better when it's separated from the crowd of mainstream titles hitting the market. It would be a shame for the franchises first appearance on consoles to be it's last just because it chose a bad time to release. If you've never check out the first Sacred, you should. It's a pretty fun game and you can grab it from Steam for a pretty low price. Read More
