Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing DS Gets Ready to Rumble, and More

Some new Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing info today, including DS rumble, bundles in America, what caused that whole "custom cars" thing, and Sumo Digital's latest developer diary-- which could be teasing at something. First up, however, is the question of rumble in the DS version of the game: will it be, or won't it be? A post from Executive Producer Steve Lycett at Sonic Stadium reveals that "Yep – both SST and ASR support the DS Rumble pack." Read More

original PS3 Gold Box and Deals for Xbox 360, DS

Amazon has whipped up another video game-themed Gold Box today, with the item of the day being Assassin's Creed II for $39.78, 34 percent off the regular price of $59.99. So far, all deals on Grand Theft Auto IV and inFamous have been claimed, but there are still several more hints which have yet to be revealed for the rest of the day. 11am PST's hint says "Get ready to rumble in this wrestling blockbuster," leading me to believe it would be WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010. 1pm PST says "Fight as you favorite Jedi or clone troopers," which obviously narrows it down. Nintendo Download - 11/16/09 - Try Before You Buy: Nintendo Offers 5 Game Demos to Guide Holiday Sho

This week's Nintendo Download brings something a little bit different to the mix: downloadable WiiWare demos. Who would have imagined, right? The demos available thus far are BIT.TRIP BEAT, FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: My Life as a Darklord, NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits, World of Goo, and this week's new release, Pokémon Rumble. And speaking of Pokémon Rumble, members of Club Nintendo will be able to unlock an exclusive Toy Pokémon character for use in the game. Virtual Console has two classics in Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures for the Super NES, and yet another version of Street Fighter II, this time for the Turbografx. At least it should make a decent companion for last week's release of Fighting Street. And finally, DSiWare has a triple threat of a new Art Style program, Arcade Bowling, and Robot Rescue. For more details on each of these titles and the demo downloads, check out the full press release after the cut. Read More

In addition to that bout of good news, it seems a number of details have surfaced as well, some new, some old. See what we've got after the cut. Read More

Atari Talks Ready 2 Rumble Revolution

Ready 2 Rumble was a popular game for SEGA's Dreamcast, and is poised to make its return on the Wii. This time, however, it's flying Atari's banner, and it also has its hands full with the upcoming Punch-Out!! from Nintendo, not to mention having to follow EA's performance with Facebreaker, which didn't exactly light the fire in gamers. Atari Asks: 'Are You Ready?'

Yesterday, we told you there was a rumor that Atari was bringing a new Ready 2 Rumble boxing title to the Wii. Today, I'm here to tell you that is not true. That is, it's not a rumor. It's all real. Titled "Ready 2 Rumble Revolution" (um, wow. I'm not sure if that's meant to be tongue-in-cheek, totally unrelated to the platform, or if they just haven't been paying attention), the game features 18 cartoon boxers, Michael Buffer, a Wii Boxing-like interface, and a Spring release. Wow, Spring 2009, huh? You would almost think they were trying to capitalize on the popularity of some other boxing game coming to the Wii, maybe cause a little confusion. Or perhaps they're simply trying to beat Nintendo to the punch? Full details are in the press release after the cut, and images are in our gallery. Read More
