Mind Zero is an action-packed dungeon-crawler RPG for the PlayStation®Vita system. Play as Kei, a high school student whose life turns upside down when he forms a contract with a “MIND,” a weapon/being with deadly powers.
Mind Zero is one of those games that came out of nowhere for me. I learned about it only a week prior to its release. Even then, the official PSN description filled me with a sense of familiarity, because it read like a downright clone of Atlus' Persona games. Still, I love Persona games, so I thought this was a no-brainer. After all, I'm not too harsh on clones. In fact, I often love Gameloft's takes on popular console games and repurposing their gameplay to fit into the Mobile ecosystem. However, Mind Zero is less a clone and more of a poor man's Persona. The game revolves around monsters called MINDs that prey on human's negative emotions.
