Microsoft Releasing Xbox 'Holy Crap ZOMG WTF' 360 Bundle for Christmas

There's a chance retailers may hate it, but since it's going to Sam's Club, it matters not. And any parent who manages to fit one of the above Xbox 360 bundles under the tree is going to own that kid for life.Don't think Microsoft are letting up on the 360 bundles this Christmas. They're just getting started. The latest official pack-in deal - exclusive to Sam's Club - is not only the biggest bundle deal we've ever seen, but potentially also the best value. For $349 you get a 60GB Pro console, Lego Indiana Jones, Kung Fu Panda and Guitar Hero III. The full, comes-with-guitar version of Guitar Hero III. With the 60GB unit normally costing $299 by itself, $50 for those three games constitutes what we like to call a bargain. It'll be out mid-November. -- KotakuMid-November? That's perfect! There can be no better time for Microsoft to make this package available for parents to bludgeon one-another with over the whole holiday season. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get some popcorn and lawn chairs ready so I can watch the mayhem. Read More

TGS 2008: New Xbox Experience Brings New Xbox Bundles

With the happier, friendlier New Xbox Experience on the way, what better way for Microsoft to welcome people into the Xbox family than to produce new bundles, packed full of family friendly games that will hopefully take some of the wind out of the Wii's sales make the system more accessible to anyone? To go with the new Xbox 360 experience, Microsoft today announced three new Xbox 360 bundles. All three will feature prominent Netflix advertising on the front, and all three will see the consoles packed in with free games. The Pro and Elite models will include Lego Indiana Jones and Kung-Fu Panda. Not a bad deal. The Arcade will come bundled with...Sega Superstar Tennis. It's free too, but...yeah. Nothankyou.jpg. -- KotakuC'mon, the game wasn't that bad, was it? Actually, from the looks of things, SEGA Superstar Tennis is only one of six games to come with the Arcade bundle. The rest are-- you guessed it-- Xbox Live Arcade games. Like... I can't read that. Or that. Or that either. But what about Uno? Who can hate Uno? And... Pac-man? Championship Edition? Come on! Who could hate any bundle that comes with that? Read More

Nintendo Releases Second-Half Line-Up of Games

In an interesting twist (I guess, maybe they do this all the time, and I never noticed), Nintendo has released their US game line-up for the second half of 2008 and into 2009... to Europe. Some highlights included on the list are Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, Call of Duty World at War, Guitar Hero World Tour, Skate It, Mushroom Men, two Star Wars games, Animal Crossing: City Folk, Mario Super Sluggers, Sonic Unleashed, Ghostbusters, and quite a bit more. Better still, Nintendo says that this is an "incomplete" list, meaning more titles could sneak their way into the lineup. Here's hoping more from the Big N themselves. For the full bill of goods (as it stands), both good and bad, click the jump. Read More
