Amaterasu and Thor Announced for Marvel vs. Capcom 3

More news from Comic-Con today, as Capcom has just announced two sort-of new characters for the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. Marvel's Thor is a shoe-in, especially considering the revival the character is facing over the coming year, with a brand new feature film and obligatory video game tie-in coming next summer. Plus, he's got a big ass hammer, and he's totally badass. Less likely, and doubtless more exciting, is the addition of Okami's heavily stylized wolf god, Amaterasu, who will be using her unique Celestial Brush to bring pain and unhappiness down on combatants. Okamiden, the franchise's first iteration since the original PS2 game, will be hitting the DS next year, but the powerful pup is still an odd choice for a fighting game. Dead Space 2 debut trailer hints further at Clark's dementia (Dead Space spoilers ahead)

"Where are you going? It's not over between us. You can't run forever.." So says Nicole Brennan, Isaac Clark's dead girlfriend, toward the end of the debut trailer for Dead Space 2. The trailer was released yesterday after being hinted at in the awesome Rorschach test marketing materials Kombo examined by Kombo earlier this week. Brennan, who is definitely dead, by the way, is the medical officer who sent out the original distress signal from onboard the USG Ishimura, and the reason Isaac boarded the doomed mining ship in Dead Space. Whether through the video log that reveals her decision to kill herself or the realization that the first letters of each chapter spell out "N I C O L E I S D E A D," by the end of the game it's made clear that Isaac has been hallucinating her various appearances. The final frame of the game's ending shows Brennan's necromorphed corpse about to chow down on Isaac's face. Heavy stuff. Hit the jump for more. Read More

If this turns out anything like the last Iron Man game, you'll be better off spending your hard earned cash elsewhere. More Iron Man 2 News & Previews The fact that it's called "Iron Man 2: The Video Game" doesn't help it's chances either. Read More

Media: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - Iceman Vignette

It appears that the newest inclusion in the Civil War of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is none other than Mr. Robert Drake, aka "Bobby" to his friends and "Iceman" to his enemies. The water-freezing mutant and original X-men team member has a whole bag of tricks ready for anyone who should choose him, from ice-surfing to creating rising stalagmites of ice. Oh, and he can encase his foes in his element of choice, too. Check him out: Video Games | Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 | Iceman Character VignetteXBox 360 | Playstation 3 | Nintendo Wii Say, know who would make a fun team? Spider-man, the Human Torch, and Iceman. Figure a way to add Ms. Lion in there, and... yeah, on second thought... On the subject of the mutants, one thing I did like in the original storyline was when Tony Stark sought the help of the X-Men during the conflict. Emma Frost basically told him to kindly eff off and take his business elsewhere, after asking where Iron Man and other such heroes were when it was just the mutants being persecuted for having powers. But naturally, if they took that route here, they'd no doubt be missing quite a few marquee names, and that certainly won't move copies, now will it? Read More
