Apache: Air Assault Takes Off This Fall

Helicopters tend to get a bad rap in video games. As we're long removed from the days of Pilotwings and Desert Strike the ol' rotorcraft have been often overlooked in favor of high-speed fighter jets, or more often, as end-level bosses in first-person shooters. PSN Thursday – 8.20.09: Smash Cars, Bloody Roar, and Dick

Personally, I find this week's PlayStation Network update a bit underwhelming. Especially when you consider Wednesday's Xbox Live update included Shadow Complex and a Lost Planet 2 demo. The full version of Smash Cars will be available to download for 15 bucks. Also, Sony continues the trend of steadily releasing PSone games every week. From what I can tell, it's a pretty standard fighting game that provides you with the ability to turn in to animals…or something. You can check that one out for the usual 10 bucks. In what may be the oddest release of week, new DLC for PAIN will feature Andy Dick as a add-on character. Umm, huh? From the looks of things, Andy Dick's career is past its prime and he's looking for some attention. Oh well. Continue Reading for the sacred Sony text. Read More
