SEGA Slashes 40% Off PlayStation Network and Virtual Console Stock

If you're a fan of SEGA, then do they ever have a Christmas special for you. From today (following the PlayStation Store update) until January 7th, they are marking 40% off all their titles and downloadable content available on the PlayStation Network. They are doing the same with titles on the Wii's Virtual Console, but that only lasts from Christmas Eve through the 6th of January. Read More

Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing Began with Sonic Running

For whatever reason, when the topic of Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing comes up, the question that seems to inevitably get asked is why Sonic is driving a car instead of running. And while that would seem to be against the very spirit of a vehicle race, and is akin to asking why Bo Jackson didn't just use a baseball bat to send a football to the other end of the field back in the day, it so happens that Sonic was originally on foot when Sumo Digital began developing the game. Nintendo Download - 10/26/09: Nintendo Offers Downloadable Halloween Fun from Axe to Zombies

Sorry, Belmont fans-- no Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth on WiiWare today. Fortunately, that doesn't mean this week's Nintendo Download is without merit; there are actually some other good titles on hand to help you ignore Trick or Treaters this year. Just in time for Halloween, Gameloft has Ghost Mansion Party ready for 1,000 Wii Points, but there's a good chance players might feel those points are better spent on Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 3. On DSiWare, prospects are a little less joyful, unless you love Sudoku. If that's the case, EA has you covered for 200 DSi Points. Nintendo also has the 500-point PictureBook Games: The Royal Bluff, a game of "strategy and deceit." And then we have the Virtual Console, with two blasts from the past. First up is the arcade version of Golden Axe for 900 Wii Points, but if you've gotten your fill of that one from other releases, then you may be pleased to know that Zombies Ate My Neighbors from LucasArts is available for 100 less, and is likely the one I'll be getting, as I missed out on it the first time around. Check the press release after the cut for full details on all titles. Read More
