Bizarre Creations Has Definite Plans for PSN

If there's one thing PlayStation 3-only owners have to be jealous of, it's Geometry Wars. Or soon enough, Geometry Wars 2. But is there a chance that Bizarre Creations will be bringing it over to the PlayStation Network any time soon? No. No, there is not, according to Manager Craig Howard: "Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2 is currently an Xbox 360 exclusive title, although PSN is definitely in our company plans going forward." Damn. Microsoft Announces August 'Summer of Arcade' Releases

Earlier, we brought the pre-emptive report that Microsoft had dated Bionic Commando Rearmed for August 13th in Japan, before quickly removing it. Now, we not only have official confirmation of that, but the rest of August, and a contest to top it all off. Beginning Wednesday, July 30 at 9:00 a.m. GMT (2:00 a.m. PDT) with Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2, XBLA users can earn entries into Microsoft's "Summer of Arcade" Sweepstakes by logging in and playing either the demo or full version of that week's Summer Arcade release. Following Geometry Wars 2 will be Braid on August 6th, Bionic Commando Rearmed on August 13th, Galaga Legions on August 20th, and Castle Crashers on August 27th, with the contest ending September 2nd. The Grand Prize winner will get 100,000 Microsoft Points, 12 month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription and an Xbox 360 Elite console. The two runner-ups will receive 10,000 Microsoft points and a free 12 Month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription, and the five weekly prizes will be 4000 Microsoft points.
