Quantic Dream Has Two Games in the Works

Less than two weeks ago, David Cage was pretty bummed out about the state of things at Quantic Dream since the Heavy Rain DLC had to be put on hold so that the studio could work on putting out Heavy Rain with Move support. Fortunately, it looks like Cage is in good spirits today. Sometimes, when things are looking grim, the best thing to do to fight off that depression is to keep yourself occupied. And what's better than work? It looks like Cage and Quantic Dream are working their way out of gloominess and putting two new games on their workload. Hit the jump for more... Read More

Heavy Rain DLC Release Dates Get Moved

This past April, some Heavy Rain fans were able to get a taste of DLC for the game in the form of Heavy Rain Chronicles: Episode One -- The Taxidermist. Heavy Rain Chronicles was is a collection of episodic DLC that allows the player to experience the events that lead up to the events in Heavy Rain. The Taxidermist allowed players to take control of Madison and was released three months ago. What's with the hold up? Nintendo Reveals First- and Third-Party Holiday Lineup

Nintendo has released the planned publishing schedule as it stands for the Wii and Nintendo DS/DSi, from both themselves and their third-parties. A lot of definite dates are not set in, instead referenced as "Fall," "Holiday," or "November," for example, but nonetheless serves to give us an idea of what the coming months will bring. "This extensive lineup will keep players busy throughout the fall and into 2010," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "Shoppers know that Nintendo offers fun for everyone in the household." Nintendo also mentions the upcoming black Wii Remote, Nunchuk, and MotionPlus as being available "this holiday season," though they don't get any more specific than that. Hit the jump for the full press release and list of games that will become available. Read More

Nintendo Download - 7.20.09: Art, Cards and Crystals Have Gamers Seeing Spots

Remember last week when we got not one, but TWO new Virtual Console games? Apparently that's not the new norm. In fact, apparently that extra VC game was taken from this weeks update, which has none. Both WiiWare and DSiWare get a big release this week, though. First up on WiiWare is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord. It's a tower defense follow-up to My Life as a King, and at 1000 points, it's 500 less than that game was. The DLC is pretty killer, though. There's 5700 points worth of it available, at least in Europe. That means the game plus all of the DLC will cost a whopping 6700 points, or $67, $17 more than a retail Wii game. DSiWare sits on the opposite end of the spectrum of excess with Art Style: Zengage for 500 points. You can't really go wrong with Art Style games. Check past the break for the full list of releases.
