Mikami and Suda 51 Unveil Shadows of the Damned at TGS

His name is Garcia Hotspur, hunter of demons, and he's totally going to start the bloodbath, according to him, at least, along with Suda 51 and Shinji Mikami, the men behind No More Heroes and Resident Evil 4, respectively. Shadows of the Damned, their joint "psychological action thriller," was rumored to be revealed at the ongoing Tokyo Game Show, and they delivered at EA's press conference today. EA's Schappert: PlayStation 3 is "on fire"

According to EA's John Schappert, the PlayStation 3 is "on fire". Schappert, the COO of EA told IGN after EA's press conference at E3 that the PlayStation is "doing incredibly well." "We're platform agnostic," he said. "We sell more software on both he PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 than anybody. That being said, we partnered with Sony on the press conference; we were on their stage and got to announce some things. "I wouldn't read too much into what we're showing the demos on, but I will tell you, in the marketplace, the PlayStation 3 is doing incredibly well." Sony Partners with DC to Flesh Out Comic Selection

Today it was announced that a large selection of DC comics are now available on the PlayStation Network store for the PlayStation Portable. The comics being added to the PSN store include over 80 titles priced from free to $2.99. Jim Lee of DC Comics describes the inspiration behind this move. "Outside of my work as a comic book creator and Co-Publisher, I'm an avid gamer," Said Lee. "Making our comics available through Sony's PlayStation Network digital comics offers a perfect opportunity for us to reach a new, different kind of reader." Castlevania Ordered to be More Mainstream, Western

Castlevania might become the next Japanese franchise to fall victim to the call to make that country's games appeal more directly to Western audiences. The franchise needs change, but must still remain Castlevania. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is being developed in Spain by MercurySteam, similar to how the last two Silent Hill games were developed in the United States and United Kingdom, and the next one is coming out of Czechoslovakia. The Spanish producer of Lords of Shadow revealed that Konami over in Japan ordered him to make the game feel more western to appeal to more mainstream audiences. Read More


God of War Could Have Ended Differently
