Nintendo Download - 2/15/10: New Game Downloads for Wii and Nintendo DSi Pack a Presidential Punch

Nintendo has a pretty decent lineup going on for the Nintendo Download this week, as Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: JUSTICE FOR ALL headlines the offerings on WiiWare, and just in time for the release of Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, which comes out tomorrow. Granted, it probably would have been better, chronologically speaking, had Trials and Tribulations and that fifth case from the original game come out as well, but I'd rather not wait. Joining Phoenix on WiiWare are the puzzle game Art of Balance and something of a stealth-based combat game in WarMen Tactics. DSiWare has an interesting new title from Nintendo called Spotto!, whose premise reminds me of Bomberman. There is also Scrabble, Prehistorik Man, Spaceball: Revolution, and Real Soccer 2010. Finally, just one release in the Virtual Console space, though it's a long-awaited one: Sonic & Knuckles. And yes, it will "Lock-On" with Sonic 2 and 3, if you have either or both downloaded. Random Image of the Day: Bombershock Man

And now, courtesy of Game Rave, via Reddit, via, we are going to ruin BioShock 2 for you, now and forevermore: Well, the box art, anyway. I doubt it will affect the game itself very much, as it's first-person. But if it's stuck in your head or there just happen to be a lot of mirrors/reflective surfaces, then so much the better. Call of Duty Classic Tops the PSN Downloads Chart

As you may or may not know the latest PlayStation Store update gave us all a list of the top 20 downloads. The list at this point in time is quite colorful with a nice array of games, including a lot of PSP titles. LittleBigPlanet PSP tops all of the other PSP games on the list, good job sackboy! It seems Call of Duty classic is quite popular with PlayStation users, since the games release on December 3rd it has skyrocketed its way to the top of the list, I'm sure a lot of those downloads were from people who bought the hardened or prestige editions of Modern Warfare 2. Nonetheless it is pretty cool to see such a classic game getting huge attention in this day and age. It goes to show you that gameplay > graphics! Hit the break to see this weeks top 20 downloads Read More

Nintendo Download - 11/09/09 - Load Up on Excitebike Action, Musical Plankton and More

At long last, it's the WiiWare moment you've all been waiting for... unless the moment you were waiting for is Castlevania, that is. Nay, but as promised, Excitebike: World Rally is now available for download on WiiWare for 1,000 Wii Points. There's even more oldschool fun with Frogger Returns, which costs only half of what Excitebike does, and you can round out an even twenty bucks by getting Dragon Master Spell Caster from Stickmen Studios for another 500 Wii Points. DSiWare has an abundance of titles as well, though five of them are Electroplankton titles, each 200 DSi Points. If you want something with a bigger bang, however, Hudson has you covered with the eight-player Bomberman Blitz for 500 Wii Points. Finally, Virtual Console sees two new releases in the form of Cybernoid for the Commodore 64 and the well-renowned Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap for the SEGA Master System, each commanding 500 Wii Points. For more info on each of today's 11 titles, check out the press release after the cut. Read More

Nintendo Reveals First- and Third-Party Holiday Lineup

Nintendo has released the planned publishing schedule as it stands for the Wii and Nintendo DS/DSi, from both themselves and their third-parties. A lot of definite dates are not set in, instead referenced as "Fall," "Holiday," or "November," for example, but nonetheless serves to give us an idea of what the coming months will bring. "This extensive lineup will keep players busy throughout the fall and into 2010," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "Shoppers know that Nintendo offers fun for everyone in the household." Nintendo also mentions the upcoming black Wii Remote, Nunchuk, and MotionPlus as being available "this holiday season," though they don't get any more specific than that.
