Wii List for 2009 Released, Punch-Out!! Dated

Own a Wii and curious when some of the games you are looking forward to will be coming out this year? Well you've come to the right place. Nintendo has released its full list of games for 2009, and a little bit of info about the game that most people are excited for, Punch-Out!! Wii. Here's the official blurb about the game: "The core game mechanics revolve around the tactics of boxing, detecting and exploiting weaknesses in the opponent's defence. Punch-Out follows the story of Little Mac, an up-and-coming boxer from the Bronx, NY, on his way to becoming the boxing World Champion. But that's not why you stopped anyway. Hit the jump for Nintendo's 2009 list. Read More

Big Bang Mini Sequel Coming to Wii in 2010

One of the most beautiful and enjoyable Nintendo DS games released this year is getting a sequel. Only this time, the fireworks are coming to Wii. According to Matt Behrens of N-Sider, another Big Bang Mini game is in development for a 2010 Wii release. Like the DS original, the Wii version is being developed by Arkedo and will be published by SouthPeak Games. Arkedo president Camille Guermonprez revealed few specifics, but he said the team is trying "some clever tricks" to adapt Big Bang Mini for the Wii audience. "Say you are a father playing a nice level of the solo Arcade mode. Your daughter comes in and wants to join," says Guermonprez. "What's her mood today? Does she want to help you fight the baddies, or does she want to have fun tickling them so they get crazy and annoy you more?" According to N-Sider, the Wii version will revisit five worlds from the DS original and implement a stronger focus on multiplayer. Behrens called it an "extended and redesigned" version of Big Bang Mini; it is unclear whether the Wii game is an all-new sequel or simply a revision of the original. Big Bang Mini released Jan. 21 in North America. No date has been given for the Wii version. Read More

Nintendo's Full Q1 Line-up for North America

A few days ago, we brought you Nintendo's full first-quarter lineup for the UK (or possibly more of Europe; it came from Nintendo UK, and they didn't really elaborate much). Today, we have the full first-quarter lineup for North America, which has some minor differences here and there. One note: Is "New Play Control!" seriously what they're looking at calling the "Play on Wii" lineup? Read More

Nintendo's Full Q1 Line-up for the UK

Earlier today, we brought you word of how you could put your Miis on your DS with a new title called "Walk with Me," rather than "Walk with Mii" for some reason. Go figure. In any case, that's only half the story; Nintendo has released their line-up for the first quarter of 2009... or at least, Nintendo UK has. Odds are, a lot of releases will be in close proximity to the NA releases, though, so it can be useful info to us here, anyway. Read More

Nintendo Releases Second-Half Line-Up of Games

In an interesting twist (I guess, maybe they do this all the time, and I never noticed), Nintendo has released their US game line-up for the second half of 2008 and into 2009... to Europe. Some highlights included on the list are Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, Call of Duty World at War, Guitar Hero World Tour, Skate It, Mushroom Men, two Star Wars games, Animal Crossing: City Folk, Mario Super Sluggers, Sonic Unleashed, Ghostbusters, and quite a bit more. Better still, Nintendo says that this is an "incomplete" list, meaning more titles could sneak their way into the lineup. Here's hoping more from the Big N themselves. For the full bill of goods (as it stands), both good and bad, click the jump. Read More
