Pirates of the Burning Sea Video Contest Rules and Regulations

Valid Entries
No profanity, discriminatory or sexually related content or other
obscenities within the video. Submitted video must be original and
created by the submitter. Any deviation from this must include written
authorization from the original content creator.

All assets used in the video must be from the game itself – this includes
the video and music. 5-8 minutes in length, in NTSC 4:3 format with video
settings of 420x315 and a frame rate of 30. Three files should be
submitted – an FLV file (Flash Video), html file and Shockwave Flash
Object (we recommend using Sothink Video Encoder to process the
files). Zip files down into one file to submit. You can narrate the
stories, use music, but the key here is to tell a story of high
adventure in the PotBS world.

Selection of Winners
Winners will be selected within 30 days after the expiration
date of the contest. Selection will be from a group of gamers
and judges designated by GameZone. Their selections are
final.

Prizes
Winner(s) chosen will receive the prizes listed. No
substitution of the prize is permitted. Entries made on the
Internet will be deemed made by the authorized account
holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry.
In the event of a dispute, potential winner may be required
to provide proof that the potential winner is the authorized
account holder of the email address associated with the potentially
winning entry. All winners will be notified by e-mail by GameZone
personnel, with further details regarding their prize. Return of any
prize or prize notification may result in forfeiture of the prize. In
the event of noncompliance by the winner, an alternative winner
may be awarded the prize.

Eligibility
This contest is open to all regions not restricted by
trade restrictions with the United States. Employees of
GameZone and anyone involved with the production of this
contest and their families are not eligible. Decisions of
GameZone are final in all instances. Prizes are non-transferable.
If GameZone is unable to contact the winner or if the winner fails to claim or accept his/her prize within 10 calendar days of notification, the prize is forfeited and a substitute winner may be chosen. Participants in this promotion agree to be bound by the official rules and decision of GameZone. Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

General
The winner accepts responsibility for all federal, state and local taxes and fees in connection with winning this contest. By entering, winner releases GameZone and its agents from all liability with respect to the use of the prizes awarded herein, agrees to be bound by these rules, and consents to the use of their name (may include city, state, country) in the announcement of the winners on the GameZone site, Newsletter, Publisher and/or Developer site, use of their name and likeness for advertising and/or promotional and/or marketing purposes without additional compensation. The Prize Publisher, Developer and/or Distributor are not responsible for this contest and have no affiliation with GameZone. All matters with prizes related to the Prizes are the responsibility of GameZone. GameZone assumes no responsibility for illegible, lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete entries, system errors and failures, faulty or delayed transmissions, or other telecommunications malfunctions. No photocopied or mechanically reproduced entries allowed. GameZone and/or its Sponsors reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate or suspend the online promotion should any unauthorized intervention or other cause beyond the control of GameZone and/or its Sponsors affect the administration or proper play or conduct of the promotion. GameZone reserves the right to revise procedures mentioned in these rules at any time.
