ACTIVISION’S
TECH DECK SKATEBOARDING BRINGS
POPULAR
COLLECTING FRANCHISE TO THE GAME BOY® COLOR

Santa
Monica, CA — April 10, 2001 — The popular Tech Deck toy line grinds, flips
and jumps its way onto the Game Boy® Color with the release of Activision,
Inc.’s (Nasdaq: ATVI) Tech Deck Skateboarding. Currently available in retail
stores across North America, the game, which is based on X Concepts'(tm)
best-selling miniature action-sports toy line, carries a suggested retail
price of $29.99. Tech Deck Skateboarding has been rated "E"
("Everyone" – content suitable for persons six years or older) by
the ESRB.

"The
Game Boy Color is the perfect vehicle for bringing the popular Tech Deck
franchise to gamers," said Larry Goldberg, executive vice president,
Activision Worldwide Studios. "The accessibility of the platform will
give skateboarding fans and collectors alike the freedom to enjoy their hobby
anytime and anywhere."

Tech
Deck Skateboarding puts players in the role of the Tech Deck mascot,
"Finger Guy," as they compete through timed runs in ten different
skate arenas, each with specific challenges to meet. The reward for completing
each challenge is to receive a virtual skateboard deck based on top brands and
pro riders of real world skateboarding. Tech Deck Skateboarding features three
different difficulty levels: Easy, Medium and X-Treme. The game adapts to the
player by adjusting the amount of time for completing events as the player
advances to higher levels. The game adapts to the player by adjusting the
amount of time for completing events based on difficulty – the more difficult
the mode, the less time you have to complete a challenge. Only when the player
guides "Finger Guy" through the game on X-Treme difficulty, will
they be able to collect all 50 decks in the game.
